I recently received a pen in the mail with the name and phone number of a local law firm on it. Although I hadn’t given it much thought before, sending out promotional materials such as pens and refrigerator magnets with their company information on them is a great way of marketing for law firms. Promotional items typically do not get thrown away, so the recipient is reminded of the company every time he or she uses or sees the item. Marketing for law firms with promotional items is a novel way of getting more clients and attracting business.
When I went to a business fair, I stopped by a booth that was staffed by members of a law firm specializing in new business law. Although I didn’t need the services myself, I told my friend about it because he was in the midst of launching a new business. In fact, at the booth, I was given a few pens and note pads with the law firm’s name and contact information on them. I gave a pen and note pad to my friend, who immediately called the law firm, and subsequently hired them to help him with his new business start-up plans and vendor contracts.
